Line Cook

We are looking to hire strong line cooks for the upcoming 2024 Summer season (and beyond!) 

At The Pheasant we pride ourselves in gracious and hospitable service - what we refer to as "casual excellence." The ideal candidate is interested in gaining experience as a cook working under an incredibly talented executive chef who is eager to teach and help individuals develop toward their professional goals in the kitchen. There are many opportunities for growth and promotion within the restaurant. 

Experience in high volume, casual/fine dining restaurants is a plus but we are absolutely willing to train candidates with the right attitude. This is a great opportunity for a hardworking person interested in pursuing a career in the kitchen.

The position is full time/5 nights a week, including weekends (closed Tuesday & Wednesday.) Candidates must be organized, detail oriented, and thrive in a fast paced environment. 

Competitive wage, minimum of $20-$25/hr (commensurate upon on experience), opportunity for overtime pay and year round position.

Onsite housing may be available for the right candidates. 

Food Runner / Busser

The Pheasant is hiring food runners/bussers for the 2024 season. Ideal candidates are avaiable from June through October, if not longer.

This role is a critical part of the overall restaurant service team. The primary focus being to clear and reset tables in a speedy, professional, and effective manner as well as maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the restaurant. The role is also to assist with running food to guests in a timely manner. Competitive base wage plus a percentage of gratuities. Year round opportunity. 

Server

The Pheasant is  looking to add several experienced servers to our team! We are looking for candidates to start in May with year round opportunities available. Preference for candidates who are able to commit through December. Year round opportunities available as well. Servers are paid hourly wages + gratuities. 

Food & beverage knowledge is certainly a plus, but there is plenty of opportunities for learning along the way. We are passionate about local and regional ingredients and sustainability. We work hard and do our best to promote a positive work environment and support our teams. We are also proud to be offering one of the most progressive and exciting wine programs on Cape Cod. General Manager

The Pheasant is looking to hire a General Manager for the upcoming season and beyond. The position would commence Spring of 2024. 


Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and attention to detail
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets
- Train, supervise, and motivate staff members to provide exceptional service
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control measures to optimize efficiency
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing sanitation standards and procedures
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement marketing initiatives
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance the restaurant's performance

Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in hospitality management, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Proven track record of successfully managing a team and achieving business goals
- Strong knowledge of Lightspeed POS system or similar restaurant management software (Toast, Aloha, Micros, etc.)
- Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead and motivate a diverse workforce
- Proficient in shift management, including scheduling, labor cost control, and employee training
- Solid understanding of food preparation techniques, bartending skills, and cook responsibilities in the food industry
