Bartender

Food Runner / Busser
The Pheasant is hiring food runners/bussers for the 2022/2023 Fall & Winter Season.
Should it be of interest, food runners/bussers can be working and training toward a server role this winter as well as into the 2023 Spring/Summer season.
This role is a critical part of the overall restaurant service team. The primary focus being to clear and reset tables in a speedy, professional, and effective manner as well as maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the restaurant. The role is also to assist with running food to guests in a timely manner.
Responsibilities of a food runner:
* Ensure a customer is receiving the correct order
* Double check the order before it goes to a customer
* Clean off a table after customers have left and reset for next party
* Deliver food from the kitchen to the correct customer
* Competently answer questions from customers
* Refill customer drinks as needed
Qualifications for Food Runner:
* High School diploma preferred
* Ability to listen to directions
* Great organizational skills
* Able to move at least 40 pounds
* Able to stand on your feet for at least 5 hours
* Ability to juggle multiple tasks at once
* Ability to remain calm under stressful situations
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Current Fall/Winter schedule is Friday - Monday (4 nights/wk), shift starting at 4pm until approximately 9:30p/10p.
At The Pheasant, we pride ourselves in gracious and hospitable service. We expect food runner/bussers to be interested in gaining experience toward becoming a restaurant server. Runner/bussers will have the opportunity to learn the ins and out of the restaurant operation and will be expected to thoroughly learn the menu (both food & drinks) to best assist with guests' experiences.
Experience in casual fine dining restaurants is a plus but we are willing to train candidates with the right attitude. Great opportunity for a hardworking person interested in pursuing a career in fine dining restaurants and hospitality.
Minimum 4 nights per week, including weekends. Must be organized, detail oriented, and thrive on a fast pace. Shifts are short, approximately 4pm - 9pm.
Competitive base wage plus a percentage of gratuities. Year round opportunity.
Line Cook
We are looking to hire one or two strong line cooks for the Summer season (and beyond!)

The ideal candidate is interested in gaining experience as a cook working under an incredibly talented executive chef who is eager to teach and help individuals develop toward their professional goals in the kitchen. There are many opportunities for growth and promotion within the restaurant.
Experience in high volume, casual/fine dining restaurants is a plus but we are absolutely willing to train candidates with the right attitude. This is a great opportunity for a hardworking person interested in pursuing a career in the kitchen.
The position is full time/5 nights a week, including weekends (closed Tuesday & Wednesday.) Candidates must be organized, detail oriented, and thrive on a fast pace.
Competitive wage, minimum of $20/hr (and up, commensurate upon on experience), opportunity for overtime pay and year round position.
Server
The Pheasant is looking to add several experienced servers to our team! We are looking for candidates that can commit to working from mid-May through Labor Day at a minimum. Preference for candidates who are able to commit through October. Year round opportunities available as well. Servers are paid hourly wages + gratuities.
Food & beverage knowledge is certainly a plus, but there is plenty of opportunities for learning along the way. We are passionate about local and regional ingredients and sustainability. Dishwasher
We are looking to add a dishwasher to our kitchen team. Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to; Washing and re-racking dishes, basic cleaning duties, and minor food prep. Shifts are 4 days a week, Friday - Monday, approximately 4:30pm - 10:30pm.
Experience preferred but not needed. Pay: $18 - $22/hour
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to place cases, pans, utensils and plates on both low and high shelves
- Ability to work in hot and damp environments
- Must have reliable transportation
